Madhuri Dixit: A failed foray with Aaja Nachle in 2007 notwithstanding, twinkletoes Madhuri and her million dollar smile will be back in Dedh Ishqiya, a sequel to the Vidya Balan film Ishqiya. Madhuri confirmed the news on Twitter, saying:
"Hey guys, back in action. On sets for Star's Life OK. Am doing Dedh Ishqiya. Jhalak right around the corner. More to come!." Her last big screen outing before the Aaja Nachle turkey was Devdas (2002). Madhuri ruled Bollywood in the Eighties and Nineties till she married Dr Shriram Nene in 1999 and moved to the US. They have two children together. -
Sridevi: The actress who was last seen in the 1997 film, Judaai, will return to the big screen with English Vinglish opposite Amitabh Bachchan. The elegant and lovely Sridevi plays a housewife enrolling in an English speaking class to impress her family.
"Sridevi still the same... spontaneous and lovely..!!" Big B had said about her on twitter.
Sridevi married producer Boney Kapoor in 1996 and they have two daughters. Since she retired, Sridevi has also developed a passion for painting. -
Karisma Kapur: After a couple of years of will she, won't she, Karisma Kapur confirmed last year that she was indeed making a comeback with romantic thriller Dangerous Ishq. The first look of the movie shows a svelte Karisma in a red Lanvin dress, having lost none of her sex appeal since her last movie Zamaanat in 2006. The actress who returns to Bollywood after six years said the role was a challenge for her as she plays five different roles across five different lifetimes.
Karisma married Delhi based businessman Sanjay Kapur in 2003. The couple have two children, and have stayed together despite consistent rumours of an impending divorce. -
Preity Zinta: After her brief stint on television as a talk show host, Preity will be seen in the movie, Ishkq In Paris, four years after her last role in Heroes. Ishkq In Paris is also her debut production venture. Preity, star of hit films like Dil Chahta Hai, Veer Zaara and Salaam Namaste, put her film career on the backburner when she became co-owner of IPL team Kings XI Punjab.

Kajol: Arguably among the most talented of Bollywood's A-list actresses, newly svelte Kajol's fashion makeover is the talk of the town these days. She made her comeback in good friend Karan Johar's My Name is Khan and We Are Family. Kajol married Ajay Devgn in 1999 and they have two children.
Kajol intermittently appears in films, choosing scripts she likes. While she's never been away from the big screen for a really long time, she typically makes movies two or three years apart. -
Manisha Koirala: It's a hat-trick for this 42-year-old Bollywood beauty as she has reportedly signed three Bollywood films. "I will talk about my films later. Because I don't know when the directors and producers are ready to make an announcement. But there are three films whose script I have okayed. I am meeting two more directors, I am okaying those scripts as well," she recently said at an event.
Manisha never really took a break from making movies, appearing in a string of mostly obscure Bollywood films and a handful of regional language ones, but her last high profile release was the controversial Ek Chotisi Love Story in 2002. She married Nepali businessman Samrat Dahal in 2010. -
Shilpa Shetty: The 36-year-old actress who was last seen in a sultry item number in Dostana, made her comeback with an English film, The Desire- Journey of a Woman which was screened at the upcoming New York Film Festival. The actress who is all set to be a mommy soon, went bald for the role. Shilpa's last leading roles were in 2007's Life In A...Metro and Apne. She married London based businessman Raj Kundra in 2009 and has since been heavily involved with their IPL team, Rajasthan Royals.

Neetu Kapoor: Yesteryear actress Neetu Kapoor had a long career in Bollywood as a child star and then a leading lady in the Sixties, Seventies and Eighties till she married Rishi Kapoor and retired. She made a comeback onscreen after a 30 year sabbatical in Do Dooni Chaar opposite her husband. She played a middle-class wife of a teacher who struggles to buy a car in the film, which also won a National Award last year.
Neetu Kapoor was the star of hit movies like Kabhie Kabhie, Amar Akbar Anthony and Rafoo Chakkar. -
Raveena Tandon: Raveena Tandon is making a full-fledged comeback with Shobhana 7 Nights, where she plays the character of a battered wife who finds solace with a younger man. The Mast Mast girl is upbeat about the fact that she has bagged a bold and challenging role after her blink and you miss it item number in Bbuddah...Hoga Tera Baap.
Raveena married film distributor Anil Thadani in 2004. They have two children together, and Raveena also has two adopted daughters. -
Juhi Chawla: Juhi's last real big screen role was in 2007's Salaam-e-Ishq but she's carved a niche in parallel cinema with the occasional guest appearances in films like Luck By Chance. She's next going to be seen in another big Bollywood movie, Son Of Sardar. Juhi is another actress Bollywood lost to the IPL franchise - she and husband Jai Mehta co-own the Kolkata Knight Riders team with friend Shah Rukh Khan.
