Top 10 things that make Madonna angry

Madonna Ko Gussa Kyun Aata?

  • Her songs being leaked: Her Majesty is upset that a song from her new, unreleased album has been leaked and is all over the Internet. The song, Gimme All Your Love, is believed to be the lead single in her album which won't be out till 2012. The pop star has appealed to fans to stop sharing it, saying the version is an incomplete demo only. She also said that “true fans” would not do such a thing.
  • Lady Gaga: The Bad Romance hit maker has been called out for copying Madonna. Gaga hit single Born This Way sounds very similar to Madonna's number Express Yourself. In the video for Alejandro, Gaga dresses in a latex nun's habit appears to swallow a rosary – the video for Like A Prayer had Madonna kissing a black saint and showed burning crosses among other Christian symbols. All this in 1989, 20 years before Gaga. We hear Madonna is not amused.
  • The big guys at Pepsi: Her controversial artistic vision cost Madonna a lucrative ad campaign in 1989. Before Like A Prayer was released, Pepsi announced that it had signed a $5 million deal with Madonna in which they would feature her new video in a commercial and sponsor her next world tour. The commercial was to be used as the global launchpad for the single before it was officially released. Filming brought with it the first signs of trouble, with Madonna refusing to use the Pepsi brand name in it or hold a can of the soft drink. A day after the finished commercial was aired, the official video for Like A Prayer was released to instant protests from religious groups all over the world for its overt Christian references. Protestors also called for a boycott of Pepsi and it's subsidiaries including Kentucky Fried Chicken, and Pizza Hut. Ultimately, Pepsi pulled the plug on the commercial and also cancelled the larger deal with Madonna – no world tour for her. She did get to keep the $5 million, by all accounts.
  • Guy Ritchie – She has a track record of rocky relationships and rockier break ups, but the one ex that's bugging Madonna like no other is husband #2, Guy Ritchie. So furious was the star as she filed divorce papers that she had to enlist a Kabbalah anger management counselor to help her deal with the rage she felt over Ritchie's cold treatment of her, the less than flattering details of her he'd leaked to the press, and the money he was demanding as settlement. It didn't help that he got their country mansion in the divorce, began dating a blonde model half his age, has a flourishing film career that makes a mockery of her own paltry one, and is regularly invited out by Madonna's erstwhile London gang including Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow.
  • Film critics who trash her movies – Regularly being panned for her movie appearances didn't deter her from continuing to make movies, each one a bigger flop than the last. After being pilloried endlessly by the critics for such box office turkeys as Who's That Girl?, Body Of Evidence, Swept Away and Shanghai Surprise, Madonna swapped screen time for the director's chair. She made Filth and Wisdom and the W.E, an ambitious period piece. Guess what – both were slammed by critics. Madge really hates film critics.
  • The guys at MTV – Madonna's music videos have never been for the faint of heart. In 1990, she released Justify My Love as a single and the sexually explicit video proved to be her most controversial yet. Shot in grainy, black and white, film noir style, the video depicts S&M, androgyny and general sexual abandon. MTV banned the video – and then went on to ban three other Madonna videos over the years: Erotica, What It Feels Like For A Girl and American Life. She can't be liking them much.
  • People who don't let her adopt – In 2009, a judge in Malawi threw out Madonna's bid to adopt three year old Mercy James, saying it could encourage child trafficking. Madonna also did not meet residency requirements – a formality that was waived when she adopted little David Banda from Malawi in 2006. A tearful Madonna, who is nothing if not a fighter, appealed to a higher court who overruled the lower court's ruling and the pop star was allowed to take Mercy home with her.
  • Not being able to spend all day working out and doing yoga – At 53, Madonna is in better shape than most women half her age. And that's possible because she spends an inordinate number of hours in the gym everyday. Famously fitness obsessed, Madonna's insistence on grueling four hour workout sessions was top of ex-husband Guy Ritchie's list of grievances. He said her strict regime didn't leave them much time for intimacy and when it did, it was like “cuddling up to a piece of gristle.” Knowing Madonna though, we're fairly certain she's bugged at not having more than four hours a day to spend working out.
  • Horses – Madonna probably isn't too enthusiastic about going horseback riding after she fell off one in 2005 and again in 2009. The first time round, she broke some bones and cracked a rib after falling off in her English country estate. The second time, she had some bruises but no major injuries after falling off in The Hamptons near New York. She did claim that the horse had been spooked by a paparazzo who jumped out from the bushes.
  • Daughter Lourdes dressing trashy – Lourdes, who is a miniature edition of her mother, has developed a fashion mind of her own and she's all of 14. Mommy is not always pleased with her choice of outfits, most of which make Lourdes look older than her years. Madonna was quoted in an issue of Elle magazine as saying she was worried because Lourdes' too tight jeans in which she can hardly bend her legs. Mommies of rebellious teenagers the world over will sympathise. Or will they?
