  • This is one award no actor wants to get. The Golden Kela Awards that recognises the sadly many bad performances in Bollywood recently named Imran Khan and Deepika Padukone the worst actors of 2011. Here's our list of the ten performances we could have done without last year.
  • Imran Khan in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan: Imran's search for a bride for his brother was hampered by the poorly written and faintly ridiculous role. He's been picked for the Golden Kela and is top of this list as well.
  • Deepika Padukone in Aarakshan: She's known for her sex appeal rather than her acting talent and Deepika failed to impress once again with her performance in Aarakshan. A Golden Kela was forthcoming and long deserved, we say. Sorry, DP.
  • Prateik in Aarakshan: After his praiseworthy performance in Dhobi Ghat, Prateik Babbar just could not manage to pull off the rebel act. He won the Worst Supporting Actor Award at the Kela Awards.
  • Saif Ali Khan in Aarakshan: A hat-trick for Aarakshan with Saif Ali Khan who was equally unimpressive as a teacher in the movie. It's astonishing how many actors are capable of great performances, and terrible ones. Is anyone ever going to forget Saif's turn as Langda Tyagi in Omkara?
  • Arjun Rampal in RA.One: Arjun Rampal, another actor who's relied on his good looks to bag roles, put in a characteristically wooden performance as the shaven headed supervillain in .
  • Nargis Fakhri in Rockstar: Model-turned-actress Nargis Fakhri was the weak link in Rockstar, her amateurish performance thrown into even sharper relief by Ranbir Kapoor's intensity. But who knows, perhaps she'll do a Katrina on us after all. We'll wait for the next film.
  • Sonam Kapoor in Mausam: That Sonam makes a great clotheshorse but a disappointing actress was once again clear with her dismal turn in Mausam, proving that she's learnt no lessons from the abject Aisha.
  • Shahid Kapur in Mausam: We're usually a fan of Shahid's work but his abundant talent was not in evidence as he played a mustachioed Air Force officer in father Pankaj Kapur's debut flick.
  • Abhishek Bachchan in Dum Maaro Dum: We know that Abhishek is usually a convincing character actor and he's played a cop in the Dhoom series with panache. But in the turkey that was Dum Maaro Dum, Abhi's performance seemed to be based on one facial expression – a scowl. Yawn.
  • Govinda in Naughty @ 40: If Govinda needed any more proof that he should seriously consider retirement, this was it. He played a 40 year old dating a girl half his age but the audiences were left cold, and so were we.
