Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra may be only three films old but he is already one of the most celebrated actors of his generation. The Ek Villain star has proved to his fans and critics that the best of Sidharth Malhotra will start this year. As he turns 30 today, we take a pictorial look at his Bollywood journey so far.

Sidharth was born on January 16, 1985, in Delhi to former Indian Merchant Navy employee Sunil and homemaker Rimmi Malhotra. Sidharth went to Delhi's Don Bosco School and Naval Public School, and later attended Bhagat Singh College.

Sidharth then auditioned for a role in director Anubhav Sinha's film which was later shelved. After that he worked as an assistant director along with Varun Dhawan on Karan Johar's My Name Is Khan (2010).

His next release in 2014, Ek Villain, however earned him the highest of praise. With his excellent performance as the revenge seeking tormented lover, Sidharth won over his critics and audience. The film, produced by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Films, was directed by Mohit Suri.

So far, Sidharth's only film listed for release in 2015 is Dharma Productions' Brothers, co-starring actors Akshay Kumar and Jacqueline Fernandez. The emotional roller-coaster will be directed by Karan Malhotra.
Sidharth has also been roped in to play a superhero in director Vikramaditya Motwane's film tentatively titled Bhavesh Joshi.
