Vivek rises from the ‘Ash’es
Vivek Oberoi confesses that it was failure which grounded him and brought him back to normal.
-
Actor Vivek Oberoi looks at his film Kurbaan as his second coming. After a lot of ups and downs - from his alleged affair with Ash to the much hyped break-up and then an all out war against Salman - Vivek thinks that he is more down to earth now.
-
Vivek Oberoi, who has been keeping a low profile for while, has now come out of his closet. Apart from Kurbaan the actor will also be seen in Ram Gopal Varma's Raktacharitra, which also stars Shatrughan Sinha.
-
Vivek feels that whatever effort you make to promote your film, it helps only if you have worked well. Says he, "If you have not done a good job, no amount of promotion can do any good to your film."
-
Vivek arrived on the filmy horizon as the hottest newcomer with his debut film Company . Unfortunately, his affair with Ash and then washing dirty linen in public about his stiff relations with Salman went horribly against him.
-
Not just that, he even distanced himself from his mentor Ram Gopal Verma. Though at least now he has been able to bridge his differences with RGV and the two are collaborating once again.
-
Vivek confesses that it was failure which grounded him and brought him back to normal. Says he, "I think failure is a very good friend. It has taught me a lot. So once I am normal, I realize that opportunities are important. I am really thankful to be in the industry and have this opportunity the second time around for really good films."
-
So today he wants to be known for his acting and films rather than many other stuff floating around in the industry about him.
-
Says he, "There are so many other stuff, aside from the fact that I am an actor, for which I am known for that it is irritating. I want to get out of all that and be known for the work I do."
