When Dilip Kumar met Pt Nehru

Dilip Kumar looks every bit the dashing superstar as he engages in animated conversation with then Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in this picture dating back to 1962.

This photograph was shared by megastar Amitabh Bachchan who spotted it at Dilip saab's residence during a special photo shoot to celebrate 100 years of Indian Cinema.

This must be around 1962... and I was there as an eager fan and starry eyed College student. Bollywood's golden couple Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu still manage to turn heads wherever they go. The two were seen at the Sun N Sand hotel's 50 year celebration in Mumbai. The legendary Dilip saab, who will turn 90 on December 11, seemed to have recovered from his recent bout of fever, which made doctors put him under house-arrest and had fans worried about his health.

Their marriage is four decades old, but Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu still seem like a couple very much in love.

We spotted Prem Chopra at the same event. The popular yesteryear villain looked dapper in a formal bandhgala. What was even more admirable was the huge grin on his face.

Actress Sandali Sinha of Tum Bin fame looked pretty in a black outfit with silver embroidery.
