Big B reaches Melbourne to open IFFM 2014

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan arrived in Melbourne on April 30 to open and be part of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2014. He will also be honoured as the IFFM International Screen Icon at this year's gala.

Big B was greeted at the airport by a throng of fans, seeking autographs and photographs. The actor will be joined at the opening by IFFM ambassador Vidya Balan. The festival will begin with the Australian premiere of his film Sholay 3D.

It was time to celebrate as the courts quashed the plagiarism pleas against Amitabh Bachchan's next release Bhoothnath Returns and gave their consent for the film to be released on April 11.
Big B held a special screening of the film for the cast and close friends at Lightbox in Mumbai on April 5. -
His Bhoothnath Returns co-star Parth Bhalerao was all smiles at the event.

While Big B gleefully posed for images Jaya Bachchan chose a quick getaway from the event.

Director R Balki who worked with Amitabh Bachchan in Paaand Cheeni Kum was at the screening.

Also present at the screening was his wife, filmmaker Gauri Shinde.
