It's a battle of the Khans with a twist – no Aamir, no Shah Rukh – it's Salman all the way. On its first day, Salman Khan's new film Ready has pulled in more money than his previous whopping hit – Dabangg. So will Prem nix top-gun Chulbul? Check out our recap of Ready and Dabangg -what's your take?
Ready revolves around Prem (Salman Khan), the bratty heir to the family mega bucks (in the tune of 500 crore). Prem's Hum Aape Hain Koun…! prototype family are eager to get him hitched but Prem would rather play the bachelor boy. The setting is ostensibly Bangkok, far removed from the dusty lanes of Chulbul Pandey's village Lalgunj.
The indomitable Chulbul Pandey refers to himself as Robin Hood. He does things his own way – whether it's fighting a family feud, helping the poor or even wooing village belle Rajjo.
In Ready Prem settles a family feud between two brothers eyeing their dead sister's share of the fortune. But all this because Salman falls for their niece, Sanjana (played by Asin) who pretends to be someone she isn't to get away from a marriage arranged by one of the scheming uncles.
Chulbul falls for Rajjo (Sonakshi Sinha) while chasing a crook through the lanes of the village.
Prem falls for Sanjana after blowing her cover – an intimacy-inducing moment while they are running from the bad guys.
Both Rajjo and Sanjana don't fall for Salman's easy charm in either film – he has to work his way to woo them!

Before Ready's release, it already created quite the buzz with Character Dheela, featuring Zarina Khan. The song takes a dig at Sholay and Mughal-e-Azam.
Dabangg had seen similar excitement with the Malaika Arora Khan item number Munni Badnaam Hui.
Another Ready song that already has the fans mimicking the Sallu dance move is the delightfully local song Dhinka Chika, a remake of the southern song Ringa Ringa.
But Robinhood Pandey's Hud Hud Dabangg song did no less, with everyone looping their thumbs around their belts and doing it complete Chulbul ishtyle.
The climax in Ready boils down to a parody in Dabangg it is serious, non-stop action.
So can Ready match Salman's shirt-popping eye feast in Dabangg? Ready has a shirt-popping sequence too, but it plays out in leading lady Asin's head! Salman's question to her – Maaza aya? What would you say? Maaza aya? Ready mein ya Dabangg mein?
