Zarine, Katrina face-off!

Zarine Khan, who makes her debut opposite Salman Khan in Veer later this week is referred to as Katrina Kaif's look-alike.

Katrina was last seen romancing beau Salman Khan in 2009's musical Yuvraaj.

Salman had said that his decision to choose Zarine for his much-anticipated film had nothing to do with the similarity between the two actresses.

Zarine, who had been kept under wraps for a while, recently said she doesn't mind being compared to Katrina Kaif.

The actress, who plays Salman's love interest Yashodhara in the film says that Katrina is so beautiful that even she couldn't take her eyes off her. "Being compared to Katrina Kaif is a huge compliment for me because I feel she is very beautiful. When I am compared to her, I feel overwhelmed. I have met her a couple of times and she is so beautiful that even I couldn't take my eyes off her," said Zarine. (Text: IANS)

Zarine in one of her interviews said that when people told her about the similarity she dismissed it as "flattery".

Zarine said she met Katrina on the sets of Veer, but also specified that, "both of us do not think that we look-alike."

Salman said he was amazed at the hype over the reported similarities between Zarine and Katrina Kaif insisting that if there were any he would have been the first to notice. The actor added he does not see any resemblance between the two except the fair skin and sharp nose. (Text: PTI)

There are reports that Zarine had played Katrina's body double in Subhash Ghai's Yuvvraaj.

Zarine says she is very excited and a bit nervous but hopeful of having a long stay in the film industry.

She like Katrina also comes from a modelling background.

Zarine was a struggling model before she got a call from Subhash Ghai's studio to audition for the movie.
