Anna on stage on historic day
Anna Hazare, whose fast enters the 12th day today, has clearly stated that to end his hunger strike, Parliament must debate and pass a tough anti-corruption law.

It's almost certain now that Anna Hazare will end his fast this evening. The 74-year-old activist is on the 12th day of his hunger strike. A debate in Parliament is expected to conclude with the acceptance of Anna's three demands for a new Lokpal or ombudsman committee in charge of investigating complaints against government servants.

According to an eyewitness, the group of about seven to eight men, reportedly drunk, got into a tiff with some policemen deployed at the rear gate of the Ramlila Maiden around 3 am. They heckled the policemen and hit them with sticks when they tried to stop the group from opening the VIP gate.
