At Dawn, India Stretches Together: 10 Best Pics of Yoga Day
India along with the rest of the world is celebrating International Yoga Day, an initiative championed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi who pitched the idea at the United Nations General Assembly last year. Rajpath in New Delhi has a sea of yoga mats as more than 35,000 participants take part in the event.

Thousands of participants gathered at Rajpath along with PM Modi to perform various asanas. The Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy), which coordinated the event, aims to register it into the Guinness World Records for the "largest yoga demonstration or class at a single venue".

The yoga asanas performed during the International Yoga Day at Rajpath were according to the Common Yoga Protocol, which has been put together by the AYUSH ministry, which has organised the celebration along with the external affairs ministry. Around thirty-five asanas were performed.
