Bilawal Zardari's passage to India

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari accompanied his father, Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari, on a private visit to India on Sunday April 8, 2012. They were here to pay a visit to the Ajmer Sharif dargah. Mr Zardari Sr. has been to the dargah before but this was his son's first visit.

  • In fact, this was Bilawal's first ever visit to the country and the 23-year-old couldn't hide his excitement. "AOA India Peace be with you. I have just landed in Delhi. 1st ever visit," he tweeted soon after landing in Delhi.

  • Soon after landing, the Zardaris went to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's residence for lunch. Bilawal was seated next to Rahul Gandhi and the two got along famously. He is said to have asked Mr Gandhi to Pakistan - an invite that has been accepted. <br><bR> After their meeting with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Bilawal tweeted: "Prez n I enjoyed Lunch with #Rahul #Gandhi and #PMSingh. lovely meal. much to learn from each other"
