Celebrating 141 years of the Mahatma

Gandhi Jayanti is the birth anniversary of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, or Mahatma Gandhi. It is celebrated every year on 2 October. Gandhi Jayanti is one of the three officially declared national holidays in India, two other Independence Day and Republic day India.
