China's new, big weapons
The DF-31 is an intercontinental long-range strategic missile. Some analysts believe that the DF-31 is a highly mobile intercontinental missile that is carried in a three-in-one vehicle that executes storage, ejection and launching. The DF-31A is reportedly capable of attacking the US. The specific parameters are: Range: 13,000 km, inertial guidance or beidou navigation guidance.

The world got a first look at China's military might during the country's 60th anniversary celebrations on Thursday.
Seen in this picture is the DF-31 intercontinental missile. With a range of 13,000 km, it is capable of attacking not just any spot in India but parts of the US as well.
Some analysts believe that it is highly mobile and can be launched from anywhere. What makes them more deadly is that they can carry nuclear warheads.

This is a mid-ranged, ground to ground missile called the DF-21. It has a range of 3,200 km and is believed to be the only middle-range missile in the world that can carry multiple warheads.
India, on the other hand, is still developing its 3,500-km range Agni-III missile.

China has become the fourth country to have the CJ-10 cruise missile. The other countries are India, Russia and the US. The CJ-10 is fired from land and has a range of 1,500 kilometer. It is capable of striking less than 10 meters of the target.
It can carry a warhead of 500 kilogram.

Finally, the newest weapon china showed off is the YJ-8 series. An anti-ship missile equipped in destroyers, missile warships, smaller missile boats and other naval vessels which has a range of 250 km.
It's mainly used for attacking medium or large naval vessels like destroyers beyond the horizon or from a long-range distance.
India's ship-based Brahmos is considered a better missile in this category.
