-
A new deadline for the construction of a Ram temple at Ayodhya is expected to be announced.
-
RSS affiliate Vishwa Hindu Parishad or the VHP, which is organising the event, has begun distributing pamphlets on the Ram temple and the focus of deliberations will reportedly be on how to harness a soft Hindutva appeal in the run-up to the 2014 general elections.
-
Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi is not at the Kumbh mela today, but his popularity was evident in the area. His supporters had earlier put up his posters as seen in the picture above. But now these have been removed. The VHP had them removed and says it has not invited Mr Modi for today's big meeting.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi too has been shown in the 'Jhansi ki Rani' avatar. Coming up next: More images from Kumbh Mela
