Over 100 people are feared dead and over 350 injured after a fire broke out at the Puttingal temple in Kerala's Kollam early this morning, police said today.

The fire, that was caused due to fireworks, also damaged the Puttingal temple's roof. -

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Kerala to take stock of the situation. He was received by Governor of Kerala, Palanisamy Sathasivam. -

Indian naval ships Kabra, Kalpeni and Sunayna sailed to Kollam with medical supplies, the official said. -
Senior police and district officials have reached the coastal city around 60 km from Thiruvananthapuram. -
