Gujarat polls: Eyeing hat-trick, Narendra Modi casts his vote
Dressed in saffron, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has cast his vote at the Ranip polling booth in Ahmedabad amid much cheering by a huge crowd of supporters gathered.

The constituencies where polling was held included 17 in Ahmedabad city, 40 in five districts -Vadodara, Dahod, Panchmahal, Kheda and Anand- of central Gujarat, 32 in Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar and Banaskantha seats of north Gujarat and in six in Kutch district.

Former minister of Gujarat and BJP candidate Amit Shah and his wife, after casting their votes during the second phase of Assembly polls in Ahmedabad. Mr Shah, an accused in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case, is contesting from Naranpura constituency in Ahmedabad.
