In honour of the 69th Anniversary of India's Independence people from around the country celebrated their Independence Day with lot of zeal and enthusiasm. The country achieved its independence on August 15, 1947.
In Delhi, PM Narendra Modi made his second Independence Day address from the Red Fort. "This is no ordinary morning. This is a morning of hope of the dreams and aspirations of 125 crore Indians," he said.
Commemorating the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, and Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, Indians in Australia celebrate the 69th Independence Day at Melbourne's Federation Square.
