Highlights From The Closing Ceremony Of Support My School Mission
The NDTV Coca-Cola Support My School Mission 1000 initiative has successfully revitalised over 1000 schools across India. The revitalisation process would have been incomplete without the support of various NGOs and for that their efforts were recognised at the closing event held at Taj Palace Hotel, Delhi. Along with this, campaign's closure report was also released.

The seven year journey of Support My School Mission 1000 initiative has succeeded in its attempt to revitalise over 1000 schools across India. By building a better educational environment for students in all parts of the country, the initiative has benefited more than 3.72 lakh students till date with the help from many NGO partners and donors.

Over 100 NGOs across the country partnered with the campaign that focused on providing students with better school infrastructure, safer drinking water units and improved sanitation conditions. These NGO partners were recognised for their efforts at the closing event of the initiative held at Taj Palace Hotel, Delhi on 14th December 2017.

NGOs such as Charities Aid Foundation- India Chapter, Forum for Organised Resource Conservation and Enhancement (FORCE), Bless, Bhoruka Charitable Trust among many others played a pivotal role in helping the initiative reach its goal of revitalising 1000 + schools in some of India's poorest districts.

Prem Lal, World Vision, Delhi shared that the Support My School Mission 1000 has helped young girl children to enroll and stay in school. Informing everyone that girl students would often drop out from schools due to lack of proper hygiene and sanitation facilities, he expressed gratitude towards the initiative that has provided Delhi schools with separate toilets for girls and boys and incinerators.

Ishteyaque Amjad, Vice President Public Affairs and Communication, Coca-Cola India and South West Asia released the campaign closure report and made the official announcement of the next phase of the initiative that will not just revitalise but also introduce recycling provision for 5000 schools across the country. He further announced that the next phase will be carried out in partnership with American India Foundation (AIF).

Ms. Shubha Sekhar, Director CSR and Sustainability India and South West Asia, Coca-Cola talked about the idea behind the initiative's conception all the while feeling proud about the success of the campaign. She went on to thank all the supporters whose generous contributions made the initiative successful.

Implementation NGO partners along with Coca-Cola India team marked the official completion of the campaign by releasing the campaign closure report.

Kiosks of few NGO partners were set up at the campaign's closing event where visitors could understand the work and efforts that led to the success of the Support My School Mission 1000.
