How the Air Force Rescued Passengers From a Stranded bus in Flooded Gujarat
The northern part of Gujarat is flooded because of heavy rain; the low-lying areas are completely submerged, people are stranded and there is loss of life and property.
This photo shows submerged villages in Patan and Banaskantha districts as Air Force personnel approach with rescue teams. The water level in Sabarmati river has swollen due to heavy rain, leading to flooding in these areas.
Some people had taken shelter on top of buses at Panchasar village in Patan district. The Air Force pressed choppers into service from bordering Rajasthan to rescue these people.
