In Pics: Students Participating In Cleaning Activities To Build A Clean India

As part of the Behtar India campaign, the students of Venkateshwar International School, Dwarka, Delhi took the initiative to clean an area near their school, which has turned into a dump yard. The students conducted the cleanliness drive with the help of school authorities and local administration.

Along with the cleanliness drive, the students of Venkateshwar International School students also performed a Nukkad Natak near the school's canteen area. This was done to raise awareness about health and hygiene among the students.

A cleanliness drive was also conducted by the students of SGJ D.A.V. Sen Sec Public School. The cleanliness activity was carried out with much zeal and enthusiasm by the students.

Farooq High School for Girls kicked off the cleanliness drive in their compound with much fervor. The students undertook the cleaning of school's presentation hall. The school authorities also imparted information to students on how to keep their environment clean.

The students of Ryan International School participated in various cleanliness activities. As part of the cleanliness drive, they cleaned every nook and corner of the school premises.

The students of Ryan International School also took pledge towards creating a clean India by keeping their surroundings clean.

The students of Sanskriti The Gurukul participated in a cleanliness drive, wherein they stepped out of the school premises as waste warriors with their brooms and gloves. They not only cleaned the area but also collected the non-biodegradable waste littered on the road.

In addition to collecting the litter, the students of Sanskriti The Gurukul also interacted with the common people to educate them on the importance of keeping the surrounding clean and hygienic. They even interacted with the local shopkeepers and urged them to use paper bags instead of plastic and to keep a dustbin near their shops so that the waste isn't littered around.

Students of Ryan International School, Greater Noida, did their bit by highlighting the hazards of e-wastes and the need for its appropriate management and options that can be implemented.

The students of Delhi Public School also participated in a cleanliness drive as part of the Behtar India campaign. They did their bit by cleaning an area near their school.

Seen are the students of C S Academy, Kovaipudur, cleaning an area outside the school campus. The students were enthusiastic and determined to not just clean the area but also pledged to keep it clean and spread the message of cleanliness among others.

As part of the Behtar India campaign, students of G D Goenka Public School took the initiative of making people aware about waste, waste segregation and its importance. The students also undertook the cleaning of Meghdoot Garden. Along with activity, they also performed a play on Swachh Bharat in a public area to make people aware about the importance of cleanliness.

As part of the Behtar India campaign, the students of The Shriram Millenium School took the initiative of cleaning one of the dirty markets of Faridabad. The main aim of the cleanliness drive was to maintain basic hygiene of the market.

The students of The Cathedral and John Connon Middle School participated in a cleanliness drive, wherein they gathered to clean a Mumbai beach. They also had a discussion with corporator Mr. Makrand Narvekar, who assured the students that the cleanliness in the area would be looked into and BMC would continue to clean and maintain the sea shore.

The students of South City International School participated in a cleanliness drive. They decided to continue doing this with the help of interact club. They also pledged to keep their surrounding clean, while educating people on cleanliness and its importance.

Students of Vidya Vikas Academy along with staff members undertook a cleanliness drive at Paroda Panchayat, South Goa and contributed towards Clean India Mission.

Ugly state of the pavement near Birla High School pushed the students to work towards it. As part of the Behtar India campaign, the students gifted a dustbin to the stall owner, made him aware about the cleanliness and wielded a broom.

The students of Sanjay Ghodawat International School conducted a swachhta drive at Hatkanangle, one of the 48 Lok Sabha constituencies in Maharashtra. They placed dustbins at the junction and created awareness among the patrons and slum dwellers. A club has been formed to monitor hygiene and cleanliness of the place.

The students of Somalwar School visited a village, Durga Nagar, to make them aware about harmful effects of keeping surroundings unclean. They also conducted interviews to make the villagers aware of wet and dry garbage.

As part of the Behtar India campaign, the students and staff members of Sinhgad Public School cleaned the school ground.

The students and staff members of Sehwag International School adopted the area around the school and conduct cleanliness drive fortnightly. As part of the Behtar India campaign, Cleanliness Rangers cleaned the area around school, under the flagship of school's head.

As part of the Behar India campaign, the students of Satluj Public School, Ellenabad, visited Har Prabhu Ashram and Sant Kabir Ashram. The students also cleaned the area surrounding the bus stand.

The students and teachers of Ryan International School, Shahjahanpur, participated in the cleanliness drive and cleaned the nearby area along with drain clogged with dry leaves to avoid blockage. Scout and guide cadet also came in support of the campaign and did their bit.

The little warriors of Ridge Valley School actively participated in the cleanliness drive organised under Behtar India campaign.

The students of Purushottam Bhagchandka Academic School participated in a cleanliness drive organised under Behtar India campaign. The students cleaned the nearby area and the school planned to carry out more such cleanliness drives to inculcate the sense of cleanliness in students as well as the surrounding locality.

The students of Pailan World School, Joka participated in a clean-up drive and sprinkled bleaching powder in areas which were damp. Some of the senior students visited a local school named Daulatpur Primary Vidyalaya and presented a power point presentation on Dengue. Mosquito repellants were also distributed.

As part of the Behtar India Campaign, the students of Montfort School, Delhi, participated in cleanliness drive and cleaned a public area.

The Lexicon International School has taken upon itself to make cleanliness not only a responsibility but also a habit. The cleanliness and plantation drive was carried out with the aim of sustaining it also. A swachh dal has also been formed to follow up the carried out activities.

The students of Army Public School along with air force officers cleaned the area outside air force station. All the garbage and dirt was removed and the area was given a new look.

As part of the Behtar India Campaign, the students of Bal Bharati Public School organised a cleanliness drive with the help of school authorities and local administration. Neighbourhood park was choosen for the cleanliness. Along with this, a plantation drive was also organised to rejuvenate the park.

The students of Campion School cleaned a beach and removed all the debris, and waste from the beach. They also plan to repeat this exercise every year to make a visible difference. Along with this, the students plan to encourage people to use clay or eco-friendly material for idols.

The students of Sishya School, Tamil Nadu selected a park for the cleanliness drive organised under Behtar India Campaign. The waste papers and rags were picked up by the students and a message of cleanliness was spread.

Cleanliness is not a one-time thing for RIMS Undri International School. The school along with the corporation organises cleanliness drive on a regular basis. They go place to place and clean the area and for its maintenance a board is kept there asking people to keep the area clean.

The students of LRS DAV Senior Secondary Model School organised cleanliness drive under Behtar India Campaign and cleaned areas like Hanumangarh road, College road and Subhash Nagar.

Lotus Valley International School, Gurgaon firmly believes in working for the community at large and it is evident with the cleanliness drive organised by the school under Behtar India Campaign. The school students cleaned the school and the outside area.

The students and the Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya 2, Golconda actively participated in cleanliness drive at Peerzadiguda Municipality, Hyderabad. They wielded a broom and collected all the waste.

As part of Behtar India Campaign, Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu, organised a sanitation drive and a debate on Swachh Bharat. This was done in order to promote cleanliness and hygiene among students.

The students of J.K.G. Senior Secondary School organised a rally in a nearby area educating people about the need and importance of cleanliness. They also cleaned the roads connecting school.

Central Railway School organised a cleanliness drive in school premises and gave a rich new look to washrooms, unclean areas of campus and water huts. Before and after picture is a testimony of the efforts of the school students and staff members.

Cleanliness is next to godliness and keeping this in mind, Intelligent Cadet International School conducted a cleanliness drive in Tulja Bhavani Temple. From entrance area to backside area and to the inside of the temple, every nook and corner was cleaned by the students.

Indus International School conducted a cleanliness drive close to their school i.e. at a bus stop called Mayura Bakery Stop. The school also plans to conduct more such drives in future and maintain the area by installing dustbins, signboards and conducting workshops.

The students of Indirapuram Public School chose an area near a slum to conduct cleanliness drive and spread the message of cleanliness. The students removed the garbage and explained the importance of cleanliness to the children of the slum.

Indirapuram School students went to a slum near river Hindon and cleaned the area with the help of teachers. They collected all the garbage and made people aware bout biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste.

The students of H.G. International School adopted Ambedkar Circle in Manpur area of Abu Road for a cleanliness drive. Along with this, they distributed handmade paper envelope urging people to not use plastic and keep their surroundings clean. The students and teachers also took an oath to contribute towards cleanliness.

As part of Behtar India Campaign, DSK School, Pune went on streets to spread the message of cleanliness. The students cleaned the Dhayari main road and performed a nukkad-natak.

Delhi Public School, Bengaluru selected one of the Government schools and conducted a cleanliness drive. The students picked up all the garbage and plan to keep the area clean in future as well.

As part of Behtar India Campaign, the students of Children's Academy, Malad took an initiative to clean the neighbourhood area. Along with cleanup drive, the students also performed a street play to aware people about the importance of cleanliness.

Post Ganesh Visarjan the state of beaches in Mumbai was quiet poor and the students of Children's Academy took the responsibility of cleaning them on their own. The students removed the debris and the festive leftovers from rivers and its banks.

The students of Welham Boys' School, Dehradun along with their teachers organised a drive in Banaras to preserve the holy river. The students collected all the garbage and pasted posters asking people to keep the river Ganga clean.

Vivekanand School in Anand Vihar identified dirty spots near their school and the responsible students gave those spots a brand new look. The students also maintained hygiene while cleaning the area.

SIA High School students and teachers took the initiative of cleaning a nearby area and planned to give a dustbin to each vendor so that the cleanliness is maintained.

As part of Behtar India Campaign, the students of Modern School cleaned the roadside garbage thrown by local residents. This was done in order to keep the surroundings neat and clean.

The students of HVB Global Academy conducted a swachhta drive near their school and cleaned the area while maintaining proper hygiene. The drive conducted under Behtar India Campaign was to keep the surroundings neat and clean.

With the help of teachers, the little swachh warriors of Dayawati Modi Meerut cleaned their school surroundings.

The students of Greenlaw High School looked for dirty spots near their school and cleaned those areas under the guidance of their teachers.

The students of Sunbeam Lahartara actively participated in Behtar India Campaign to clean Kabir Math at Lahartara, Varanasi. The aim of the cleanliness was not only to clean, but to create awareness in people and inculcate good habits.

Cleanliness drive organised by St. Edmund's School was not only confined to their students, but children of government schools were also made a part of it. The students made placards and pledged for a clean surrounding.

As part of Behtar India Campaign, the students of City Montessori Inter College, Aliganj, organised cleanliness drive and cleaned the area outside their school.

GD Goenka, Rohini, organised a cleanliness drive under Behtar India Campaign. With brooms in their hands and strong determination, the students actively participated in the drive and cleaned the area.

The students of Strawberry School organised a cleanliness drive in their school and nearby area. The students cleaned the area by picking up all the garbage.

As part of Behtar India Campaign, BGS National Public School organised a cleanliness drive. The students roamed around their and picked up all the garbage.

The students of Gregorian Public School organised a cleanliness drive and actively participated in it. The students cleaned the school premises and in a way contributed to the dream of Swachh Bharat.
