In Pictures: Save Our Tigers Campaign Impact

With the funds collected during the Save our Tigers Campaign, we have deployed 34 Rapid Response Units (RRUs) across the country. These RRUs contain customised equipment to aid forest officials in tiger conservation efforts.

  • Officials at the Panna Tiger Reserve attend a training on the use of equipments included in a Rapid Response Unit.
  • Anish Andheria, President of the Wildlife Conservation Trust (WCT), runs forest officials through the items in the first aid kits. These specially-designed human-animal conflict mitigation vehicles come equipped with all items needed during an emergency.
  • The Wildlife Conservation Trust (WCT) provided water filters to Anti-poaching Camps in the Kanha Tiger Reserve under the NDTV Save Our Tigers campaign. These filters ensure that forest staff have access to clean drinking water, reducing the incidence of water-borne diseases.
  • Solar integrated systems donated to Anti-poaching Camps by the Wildlife Conservation Trust (WCT) under the NDTV Save Our Tigers campaign, ensure that remote protection camps are electrified and helps them stay connected. Forest guards are now able to charge their phones and run fans.
  • The Mudumalai Tiger Reserve received one Rapid Response Unit as part of the NDTV Save Our Tigers campaign.
  • Anish Andheria, President, Wildlife Conservation Trust (WCT), explains the use of a baffle board during a training workshop in Bandhavgarh National Park. The tiger reserve received two Rapid Response Units under the NDTV Save Our Tigers campaign.
  • Under the NDTV Save Our Tigers campaign, the Wildlife Conservation Trust (WCT) donated a high-speed motorboat to the Sundarban Tiger Reserve to improve patrolling efficiency.
