Happy to be back: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is back in Mumbai after a rocky visit to America where he was held up for questioning at Newark Airport, much to the chagrin of his fans the world over. As he got into his car at the airport, Shah Rukh waved, smiled and gave his trademark salaam to his fans. (AFP)

Tumultuous visit: Shah Rukh was detained and questioned for almost two hours at the airport as part of what the US calls "racial profiling" to weed out terror suspects. After his two-hour ordeal in the US sparked a furore in India, Shahrukh had on Monday asked his fans not to take the issue further, even as he said that America needed to offer "a little more warmth and speed in its processes". Meet the press: On Tueday, the actor met the media in his home 'Mannat' in Bandra. "I'm not angry about the incident but it was embarrassing. The questions asked by the authorities were strange and irrelevant," Khan said during the press conference. (AFP)

Plain speaking: The actor, who had earlier told fans that he did not feel like stepping again on American soil, said that he will visit the country if work required him to do so. "I will go to the US when work demands but I will limit my travels. I have no complaints against the system but I wish it could be more streamlined and less cumbersome," added Khan. (AFP)
