Launch of Women of Worth Campaign

NDTV in partnership with L'Oréal Paris, launches Women of Worth, a campaign to scout, recognise and award achievements of brave and driven Indian women who have committed themselves to make a difference not just in their own lives but also in the lives of others.

As part of the campaign, NDTV will be presenting the first edition of Women of Worth Awards.

Vikram Chandra, Executive Director and CEO of NDTV Group, and Manashi Guha, Vice President Marketing, L'Oréal India, roll out the Women of Worth Awards 2016.

Women of Worth campaign will fight the lack of acknowledgement of women by honouring their exceptional achievements.
Actor Sonam Kapoor joins Women of Worth campaign: She claims that she is a feminist and appreciates this campaign for acknowledging women who are excelling in their respective fields.

"Being awarded, or even nominated, validates and motivates people to do better," added Sonam Kapoor.
Anu Aga, Director on the Board of Thermax Limited joins NDTV and L'Oréal Paris Women of Worth Campaign. She added, women have been making an impact, so to say, for many years now. But it's only now that they're getting the attention they deserve.

Meet the jury panel for Women of Worth campaign. The jury elaborates on how it's great to see the campaign applaud female sportspersons for their achievements; especially because sports is usually identified as a male-dominated domain.
The jury consists of Shovana Narayan, Kathak Danseuse and Padma Shri Awardee; Manashi Guha, Vice President Marketing, L'Oréal India; Belinda Wright, Executive Director, Wildlife Protection Society of India; Dr Ranjana Kumari, Director, Centre for Social Research, Saurabh Srivastava, Co-Founder, Indian Angel Network and NASSCOM; Dr Prannoy Roy, Executive Co-Chairperson, NDTV Group and Dr Pinky Anand, Additional Solicitor General.
