The fire broke out in the second AC bogie of the train numbered 16594 which was headed to Nanded from Bengaluru.

There were 72 passengers in the bogie.

A few people jumped out of the train on noticing the fire.

The fire has been completely doused but darkness, fog and smoke are hampering rescue work, said officials.
