That's what we did at the NDTV Indian of the Year awards in New Delhi on April 29. Ranbir Kapoor was drafted to take this Oscar-style selfie and we think he did a great job, getting five actors and three NDTV anchors into the photo - Aamir Khan, Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut, Soundarya Rajinikanth, Ranbir (of course), Prannoy Roy, Vikram Chandra and Nidhi Razdan. -
On popular demand, Ranbir and Deepika danced to their hit number Badtameez Dil from Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani.
They almost - almost - managed to conscript NDTV's Prannoy Roy into their routine. Ranbir dragged him onto stage but he gave them the slip at the last moment. -
It turned out that Deepika and Ranbir didn't actually need a third. They did very well on their own, breaking into an impromptu jig - accompanied by much giggling - with Ranbir having gone down on one knee to begin things.

Actress Kangana Ranaut had a fan moment when Dhoom: 3 star Aamir Khan - who she's never made a secret of admiring - presented her the Actor Of The Year trophy and gave her a big hug. A thrilled Kangana, who almost never attends award shows, said: "I was told Aamir was going to present me this award so I had to be here. He has been a huge inspiration and this is a very special evening."
She received high praise from Aamir in return, who said:" Kangana does what she believes in and that's the mark of a real creative person who is passionate about her work. She really goes with her heart and that's something which is similar to me." -
Ustad Amjad Ali Khan had his talented family join him on stage as he received his award for Lifetime Achievement.
Between them, Ustadji, sarod-player sons Amaan and Ayaan, and wife Subhalakshmi, a former Bhartanatyam dancer, represented the best of Indian arts and music. -
Artist and architect Satish Gujral, a man of many creative hats, was also honoured with the award for Lifetime Achievement.

In the evening's most poignant moment, the Unsung Hero award was given to Laxmi, survivor of an acid attack. Laxmi, who now leads a campaign to stop acid attacks, said: "It's important that the mentality of society should change further, only then will the attacks, of all kinds, on women come to an end." Laxmi also spoke about how she was abandoned by her friends and relatives but received much support from her parents
