Pics: Protests At India Gate After December 16 Gang-Rape Convict's Release

Three years after the death of Jyoti Singh, protesters were back at India Gate as the youngest of the six men convicted for the gang-rape and murder of the 23-year-old paramedical student was released from a correctional home.

The protesters led by the Jyoti's parents have been detained by the police at India Gate, Hours After the youngest Delhi gang Rapist is set free.

India Gate came under a huge security blanket and police and protesters gathered for a face-off.
The police had declared Section 144 at India Gate -- the venue of historic protests three years ago - and moved the protesters to Jantar Mantar
The protesters however moved back to India Gate, with plans to hold a candle-light vigil.

The Supreme Court has said it will hear a last-minute petition against the convict's release filed by the Delhi Women's Commission on Monday.
