A Libyan plane arriving from South Africa exploded on landing at Tripoli airport on Wednesday. According to the officials, more than 100 people have died in the incident.
Afriqiyah Airways listed 93 passengers and 11 crew members on board its flight 8U771 from Johannesburg.
An airport official said that a Dutch boy had survived and he was rushed to hospital near Tripoli.
The crew members were all Libyan nationals, the official added.
The crash site was sealed off by security officials and ambulances and emergency vehicles rushed between the airport and the capital, about 50 kilometres apart. (AP Photo)
