Political Heavyweights, Sea Of Supporters Flow Through Varanasi
The roads of Varanasi reverberated with slogans sang by flag-waving supporters of the BJP, Congress, Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party. The top leaders of these parties, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi from BJP, arrived in the holy town to campaign for their parties. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav carried out roadshow accompanied by his wife Dimple and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Not far behind was BSP chief Mayawati who also carried out a rally here.
