Prime Minister Modi's Three-Nation Visit: First Stop, Seychelles

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the Seychelles' capital late on Tuesday on the first leg of his three-nation tour that will also take him to Mauritius and Sri Lanka.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was flown to the Seychelles' capital by a special Air India flight after a nearly six-hour journey.
PM Modi was greeted by people of Indian community upon his arrival.
Seychelles President James Michel welcomed Prime Minister Modi upon his arrival at the airport. PM Modi said Seychelles "is a vital partner in our Indian Ocean neighbourhood".
India signed four agreements with the Indian Ocean island nation to boost security and maritime partnership.
PM Modi also unveiled the plaque and operationalisation of the radar for the CSRS India-Seychelles Cooperation Project.
PM Modi spoke at a civic reception in Mahe, Seychelles.
Seychelles has a population of 90,000 people and 10 per cent of them are of Indian-origin.
