Shootout at US army base

A gunman identified as Major Nidal Malik Hasan opened fire indiscriminately in the Soldier Readiness Centre at Fort Hood, the largest US army base. The Major was eventually overpowered but not before he shot dead 10 soldiers and one police officer.
