Siachen Avalanche: Army's Rescue Operation In Pictures
The Indian Army deployed specialised earth penetrating radars to locate the bodies of 10 soldiers who were buried alive in an avalanche in the Siachen Glacier.
10 soldiers were at their base on the Saltoro ridge in Siachen, at a height of 19,600 feet, and close to the border with Pakistan when the avalanche struck.
