Surfer Pics: Solar eclipse through your camera

The millennium's longest celestial spectacle unfolded in a narrow strip in peninsular India with enthusiasts flocking sites to observe the annular solar eclipse. For 11 minutes, the sun was visible as a golden ring of fire when viewed from some places in the southern tip of India.

  • The longest annular solar eclipse of the century left people spellbound for about ten minutes at midday when the sun almost vanished from the sky. Hundreds gathered at the hot spots to view the spectacle.
