#SwachhBharat Raised Over 1 Crore Hours for the Clean Up Drive
The Swachh Bharat Cleanathon, which aims to get people to pledge their time to join the clean-up drives across India, through the year, has so far successfully raised over 1 crore hours for the cause. Corporates and schools came out in a big way to clean up India.
The 12-hour Cleanathon got underway with campaign ambassador Amitabh Bachchan committing to 50 hours this year to clean up drives to achieve the goal of Swachh India.

Reckitt Benckiser's South Asia Reginal Director, Nitish Kapoor committed to 20,000 hours on behalf of his organisation to the cause of making India clean. NDTV on its part has committed to 10,000 hours this year to the campaign.
Young India showe the way and came out in full force to support the Banega Swachh India campaign. Sriram School of Gurgaon pledged 5,000 hours a year to make India clean. Pledge your time to join the clean India movement.
Manisha Patankar, Secretary, Urban Development, pledged 50 lakh hours to #SwachhIndia on behalf of Maharashtra's government employees. With her commitment, the Swachh Bharat Cleanathon successfully raised over 1 crore hours for the cause.
The Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences committed 20 lakh hours in 10 months of this year from their 25,000 students to participate and clean up the city of Bhubaneswar.
Deep Kalra, CEO of MakeMyTrip joined the 12-hour Cleanathon and committed to personally join the clean-up drives and as an organisation pledged 5,000 hours this year to the cause of cleaning up India.
