The Great Indian Shopping Experience

Neatly stacked clothes, each shoe rack almost looking military line up, perfumed air and a guar to count the clothes you try. Yes, we are talking about malls. This versus the freedom to pick anything, snatch any piece of cloth from anyone and the power of bargaining. That's our local market!

While malls call out to you with their elitist looks, almost turning each piece of merchandise to a celebrity; there is no taking away from the old fashioned display of the neighbourhood market.

Walk down the market and you will see sudden assembly of clothes or accessories. This unintentional and less threatening display is what makes our markets a winner.

Best part is you would have probably stepped out for grocery shopping, but the understated invite and the upredictable shopping is something to die for.

This along with a ‘hot cuppa' from the local chai vendor is what I would define the Great Indian Shopping Experience!
