Thousands Evacuated in Bihar Amid Flood Alert; Situation Under Control
Over 40,000 people have been evacuated in Bihar amid a flood alert in Kosi river following a landslide in neighbouring Nepal. The state government, though, said that the "situation is under control" and "there is no need to panic".

Villagers who left their homes along the Kosi River looking for safer places rest at a way side relief camp at Birpur Bihar on Sunday. A massive landslide in northern Nepal, early Saturday blocked a mountain river, causing the water to form a lake that was threatening to burst and sweep several villages. Because of the risk of flash floods coming from Nepal, thousands of villagers have been evacuated in neighboring Indias Bihar state.
