In Northeast India, USHA and Star Cement have launched a first of its kind project-training men in the mechanics and maintenance of sewing machines so they can provide technical support to women graduating from Silai Schools, their learners and other women from the villages. Through this project USHA is aligning its goals with the mandate of its corporate partners in their CSR ventures.
