Two Women Overcome Their Traumatic Past In Nithari Village To Rebuild Their Life
Haunted by the infamous 2006 serial killings in Noida's Nithari village, Rubina Begum and Soni's life had come to a standstill. Tired of constantly living in fear, both of them discovered the Usha Silai School programme and underwent training for seven days.

In only a year of being part of the Usha Silai School, Rubina has managed to restore the normalcy in her life that had lacked since the day her village became the focal point of a horrific serial murder case where over 19 women and young children were killed.

"Before becoming part of the Usha Silai School, I felt helpless and alone" says Soni, a woman who lost her 10-year old sister around the same time when the serial murders took place. Today, she is teaching carpet making to other women in the centre started by Joint Women Program.
