Understanding Cancer: 7 Warning Signs
We take a look at some of the warning signs to help detect cancer at an early stage.

Change in bowel movement: Any noticeable change in the colour, consistency, size, or shape of stool should not be ignored.

Sores that don't heal: It is imperative to treat sores that don't seem to get better and/or feel bigger or more painful.

Unusual bleeding in urine or stool, or an unknown discharge from any part of the body should be checked on priority.

Thickening of lumps in breasts or scrotum: It is important not to ignore lumps in the breasts or scrotum discovered while self examining.

Persistent indigestion: Consult a doctor in case of recurring indigestion.

Difficulty in swallowing: Any pressure felt in the throat or chest which makes swallowing uncomfortable should be checked.

Persistent cough and/or any change in voice should be looked at by a doctor.
