Hindustan Times: On Saturday, the US and the Taliban signed a deal that could lead to complete withdrawal of the American troops from Afghanistan over the next 14 months. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that his government was committed in ensuring justice for all citizens, which he described as the basis of its philosophy of "sabka saath, sabka vikas, sabka vishwas."

Deccan Herald: Four persons were killed, three were injured by an elephant, which entered residential areas of Bhubaneswar and attacked people. The elephant came from Chandaka Wildlife Sanctuary, H S Upadhyay, Odisha's Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, was quoted as saying by the Deccan Herald. Passengers recorded videos and posted them on social media, The Times Of India reports. India backed the US-Taliban agreement but wanted some parties involved in the deal to shun terror. Foreign secretary Harsh Shringla met Afghan leaders in Kabul and reiterated India's commitment to an enhanced political, economic & development partnership.
