UP Elections 2017: Ahead Of Penultimate Phase, Campaigning Intensifies

Uttar Pradesh has witnessed five phases of polling and is getting ready for the last two phases on March 4 and 8. With the contest in the crucial state considered the most vital one before the 2019 general election, all the political heavyweights have stepped up campaigning in the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has intensified his campaign rallies and so has BJP president Amit Shah. This poll season, Mr Shah was one of the most visible faces of BJP campaigning. The prominent face of the Congress-Samajwadi Party alliance, Akhilesh Yadav, has also not taken a moment's rest. He addressed an election rally in Azamgarh on Tuesday. Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati is not lagging behind. She was found garnering support in Mau a day after PM Modi addressed a huge crowd last Monday.
