Uttarakhand Elections: Issues that matter
As polling for assembly elections in the hill state draws near, there are a number of issues the BJP has to face from possible infighting to the power situation in the state. But the Congress will not find it a walkover either.

The Congress, meanwhile, will be hoping that the delimitation exercise will work to its favour in the elections. In the new arrangement, representation of Haridwar, Dehradun and Udham Singh Nagar will increase, while that of the remaining ten districts will decrease.

The BJP will also be hoping that the plethora of chief ministerial candidates will not lead to infighting. Despite the show of bonhomie between Khanduri and former chief minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, sources claim that the two do not get along. This could hurt the party in the lead up to the polls.
