One person was killed and at least 40 were injured in a clash between workers and the management at the Maruti Suzuki India's Manesar plant near Gurgaon on Wednesday. -
The violence took place after a worker allegedly beat up a supervisor on the shop floor. Police said, a charred body was recovered from the site. -
The management said, the protesters also set fire to property and damaged facilities at the Manesar unit. -
The factory had witnessed three such instances last year causing a total production loss of about 83,000 units.
