Violence over Raj Thackeray's speeches in Sharad Pawar's strongholds
There have been several instances of stone pelting and arson across cities of Maharashtra between supporters of Sharad Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party and Raj Thackeray's Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (NCP. This began last night when stones were hurled at Mr Thackeray's convoy as he was driving through Ahmednagar in Western Maharashtra.

MUMBAI: Clashes broke between Sharad Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and the Mahrashtra Navnirman Sena workers over a speech made by Raj Thackeray that criticised Sharad Pawar and his nephew Ajit.
This morning, members of Mr Thackeray's party forced their way into the NCP office at the headquarters of the municipal corporation and vandalized property. -
AHMEDNAGAR: The clashes between NCP and the MNS began last night when stones were hurled at Mr Thackeray's convoy as he was driving through Ahmednagar in Western Maharashtra. This morning the whole area saw heavy police presence.

AKOLA: In this district of Maharashtra, even ambulances were not spared. These ambulances belonging to members of the NCP were stoned and destroyed.

NAGPUR: In Nagpur too, four city buses were damaged in two incidences of stone pelting reported in two separate areas in Nagpur.
More than 40 MNS workers gathered in Nandanvan and Ramana Maroti Nagar and targetted star busses plying on the city roads in south Nagpur. -
SOLAPUR: This city too saw its share of violence with both parties indulging in stone pelting. Here NCP workers even burnt Raj Thackeray's posters.
