2012 Pune blasts: Court extends police custody of seven accused
Pune: A local court on Tuesday extended till January 8 the police custody of seven accused in 2012 serial bomb blasts.

The Delhi Police and Maharashtra Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) produced four of the seven accused in the court of Judicial Magistrate (First Class) SS Bose at Shivaji Nagar in Pune.

Four coordinated low-intensity bomb blasts had struck Pune on August 1, 2012, injuring one person.

The explosions had occurred at locations within a radius of 1 kilometre at bustling Jangli Maharaj (JM) Road: in front of Balgandharva Auditorium, opposite to KFC restaurant near Garware Bridge, Dena Bank branch at Jangli Maharaj Road, and in-front of a McDonald's restaurant.

A fifth live bomb found on J M Road was later defused.

The accused produced before the court included suspected Indian Mujahideen (IM) members Asad Khan Jamshed Ali alias Jahid (33, Aurangabad), Imran Khan Vajid Khan Pathan (32, Nanded), Hamja Abdul Hamid Sayyad (38, Pune), Irfan Mustafas Landge (30, Ahmednagar) who were brought from Delhi to Pune.
