Pune:
Anna Hazare's presence at the conference on 'Rebuilding the Republic' organised in Delhi on January 26 seems doubtful after Dr K H Sancheti, who had treated him for seven days, advised him not go to Delhi in this cold season.
The Team Anna core committee meeting is scheduled for January 26 and reportedly Hazare has shown interest in attending the brainstorming session. Hazare was admitted to the Sancheti Hospital on January 1 for chest infection and was discharged a week later. Dr Sancheti has advised Hazare rest for at least a month.
"I would advise him not to go to Delhi, which has already been gripped by a cold wave," Dr Sancheti said. The doctor also said that the medical team at the hospital suggested Hazare to go on a vacation, as it will help him recover soon.
Hazare's aide Suresh Pathare said the final decision on whether Hazare would go to Delhi would be taken later. "The decision on Anna attending the conference on January 26 in Delhi will be decided two days before the actual date of journey," Pathare said.
In a posting on Twitter Pathare yesterday said: "Annaji's health check-up by Dr Dharmadhikari: It is improving but not yet well. His BP is 144/94 and also having some cough and weakness."
