Eighteen people were injured when a Mumbai-bound State Transport bus was hit by a truck at a city square on Wednesday night, police said.
The accident occurred when the bus, taking a turn towards Shivajinagar terminus near the busy Central Observatory square, collided with a speeding truck coming from opposite direction resulting in minor injuries to 17 passengers and the driver, police said.
The truck also rammed into a traffic signal pole, they added.
The injured were undergoing treatment at the government-run Sassoon General hospital and were stated to be out of danger, police said.
