Pune:
Independent corporator Ujwal Keskar has alleged that former Chief Minister Ashok Chavan granted a change in the reservation of a plot at survey number 47 A (TP scheme) at Parvati from open space garden to residential zone before he resigned.
"As per the norm, the government cannot delete the reservation of open space. How can the reservation of a plot meant for garden be changed to residential?" said the corporator, demanding that Chavan's successor should stay the notification of the urban development department (UDD) issued on November 10.
Keskar said Ashok Chavan had got deleted one more reserved plot after deleting the reservation of the plot near the garbage depot from no-development zone to residential zone at Uruli Kanchan before quitting.
He said the decision was taken in a hasty manner before Ashok Chavan quit. "Ashok Chavan resigned on November 9 and the resolution was published on November 10. It shows that before quitting, the former chief minister (who was the urban development minister) took this decision," said Keskar.
