Pune: An oil spill from a tanker today resulted in disruption of vehicular traffic along Mumbai-Pune expressway, causing inconvenience for commuters.
The traffic was halted after a Mumbai bound tanker overturned, spilling oil near Khandala during early hours today, making it risky for the commuters.
"The traffic was restored in the afternoon after putting a layer of loose earth on the affected surface," police said.
However, a serpentine queue of vehicles was moving at a snail's pace because of the backlog that was being cleared slowly, a passenger said.
