Pune:
The Sahakarnagar police on Monday arrested a 16-year-old boy studying in Class X in connection with the murder of a 32-year-old man on Saturday night at the Padmawati area.
The deceased, Santosh Murilder alias Bhau Tilak of Annabhau Sathenagar in Padmawati, was killed with a heavy object. A pedestrian saw his body lying in a pool of blood and raised an alarm.
Assistant Police Inspector Shashikant Khot, who is investigating the case, said, "Santosh had received severe injuries on face, head and chin. Police naik Rajendra Honrao received a tip-off that Santosh was drunk and lying on the road. The minor's foot accidentally hit the victim as he could not see him sleeping on the road due to darkness. Santosh started abusing him and later both got into a fight. The minor, in a fit of rage, hit him on the head with a tile and fled."
